All Delaware County residents who have received a Shevlin housing scholarship are eligible to enroll in our JOURNEY program. This free program provides ongoing recovery support and encouragement. Working one-on one with a staff member, participants develop a short and long term strength-based recovery plan. The plan includes specific goals, tasks to achieve those goals and timelines. Meeting in person in our office or via telephone on a regular basis makes a difference! Relationships are established, obstacles are uncovered and care coordination happens! Putting the drink or drug down is an important first step in recovery - but having the support of qualified people who care - over a 5 year continuum- can be the difference between sustained recovery OR a relapse. overdose or death.
We utilize research-based, data-driven methods to assess and track where individuals are in their recovery journey. This ongoing relationship supports individuals as they start over, find a job, reconnect with family and set future goals.
Many agree connection is the antidote to addiction. Walking with our Journey participants is a privilege!
