Covid Recovery Home Response

addiction recovery is possible drug and alcohol addiction treatment

Our Commitment Remains

Many agree, persons in early recovery thrive in good, structured, sober recovery communities.   During Covid, we remain committed to supporting those in early recovery. 

How We're Helping NOW

We continue to grant housing scholarships to qualified persons transitioning out of in-patient addiction treatment.  In addition, we have increased our food support including: food cards, as well as, grocery, pizza and home-cooked meal delivery.  

How YOU Can Help NOW

VOLUNTEER  to buy or make meal items (and drop off at central Delco location):

  • Gallon Beverages (ice tea, orange juice or lemonade)
  • Bake or Buy Dessert items (like brownies, cookies or cakes)
  • Make Home cooked meals to feed 10 (lasagna, meatballs, or casserole)

VOLUNTEER to deliver items to recovery homes

Martin Luther King Service Day 1/20/2020

Sign up to MAKE and/or DELIVER Soup & Sandwiches

Join others in recovery to make  delicious soup and hearty sandwiches for those less fortunate.   Groups will meet at 715 E. 20th Street in Chester, PA at 10 am.  Cooking should be completed by noon.  Delivery takes place from 2 to 4 pm.  RSVP here to reserve your spot and bring items. 

Can't come? But want to donate to support our outreach?

Not everyone can be on the front lines serving the less fortunate.   Be a "behind-the scenes" supporter of of our outreach this MLK Day.  Drop off socks , gloves, hats and other food items OR Donate here.  Thank you!

        Help us bring hope to those struggling this season.

        Sat., 12/14/19  10 am to Noon -Help us fill Brown Bags with hope (gloves, socks, hats, food, personal messages of encouragement) for those struggling with homelessness and/or addiction in our area.  Bring the kids, as we enter into the Christmas spirit, bringing hope to those struggling this season. Meet us at the church gymnasium for breakfast treats and then fill the brown bags . The bags will be delivered by our volunteers to the homeless in Kensington and other parts of Philadelphia.  If you want to make a difference and have some family-friendly fun this season ...join us at our Annual Brown Bag event!
